Wednesday Vignette - First Freeze
I caught the sunrise and icy drops on the Panicum virgatum 'Shenandoah' this morning. The frost was thick on the grass and plants. The streets were quiet, as kids were out of school and many grow-ups had the day off for a long holiday weekend.
The hummingbirds were buzzing about, playing chase and it was just nice to soak up a peaceful moment before I got too cold and headed back in :)

i really like this- "Organically Growing in the Willamette Neighborhood of West Linn, Oregon - Zone 8b". the simplicity! i waste a lot of time of blogs in which i cannot determine where their garden is, hence, how the info can apply to mine. being a much better gardener than computer tech person, my blog has mostly faltered. i suspect many garden bloggers have someone in their life who assists them with digital tech. thx for leaving the comment on my blog, encouragement is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteJust like jewels, sparkling in the sun. How appropriately festive! Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours, Jenni!
ReplyDeleteI love mornings like that. We had a touch of the same here this morning after the lightest trace of rain overnight (0.05 inches) - the birds were happy, the air was fresh, and everything seemed just a little greener. Happy Thanksgiving Jenni!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful picture and the words about that peaceful moment in your garden were wonderful! Hope you had a happy Thanksgiving!
