Speyside is halfway between Aberdeen and Inverness. Another name for it is Strathspey - the valley of the river Spey, which runs from the Cairngorm mountains north and into the sea in the Moray Firth. There's a map at http://www.greaterspeyside.com/ which situates the area in relation to the rest of Scotland.

Oh how colourful and nice shots. Everytime I try to take a photo of a bird it decides to fly off and I have a blur :)

Those are the most beautiful coloured goldfinches I've seen. They look young. I always have trouble trying to get photos of birds. Kelli
