Question for all you experienced veggie growers / home cookers/preserving experts....will my smallish pumpkins provide enough pumpkin meat to use in recipes/preserves? They are awfully cute and I have 10 - 12 thus far.
Nice looking pumpkins! My pie recipe and Pumpkin Pie Bread recipe only call for 2 cups of cooked pumpkin. Those are the only 2 recipes I use pumpkin in :)
Our squash are smaller than usual too. I would hope you will get enough flesh from them as we usually have to share the fully grown ones and even half is too much for one meal for two.

ReplyDeleteIt's so cute! I've never gotten enough pumpkins to do anything with other than set on the front porch. We only have one teeny green one starting.
ReplyDeleteI would hazard a guess at YES
ReplyDeleteI don't know. I always use canned pumpkin. Sorry. But that sure is a pretty looking specimen you got there. :)
